Hi, I'm Josh.

As far as I can remember, I have always wanted to play the guitar. It started when I was about three years old, growing up just outside of London, ON. My dad was a huge Van Halen fan, and he had a VHS copy of Van Halen's Greatest Hits. It consumed me; I loved watching Eddie on guitar, and I vividly remember the scene in "Hot For Teacher" where he rips the guitar solo walking down an aisle of tables in the library, the camera shooting up at him from below. In hindsight, maybe VH music videos weren't the best content for a three-year-old to watch, but I think it really influenced my path in life (I was also raised on COPS and The Simpsons, which might explain more about me than this bio ever could). I eventually started taking lessons at age seven; along with guitar, I also learned piano and music theory, taking RCM examinations in each and focusing largely on classical repertoire. I later went to Western University to study Popular Music.

Since then, I've been fortunate enough to work with several esteemed artists in the country, pop, and rock worlds like Nate Haller, Priyanka, Tyler Shaw, Texas King, and many more. With these artists and others, I've toured North America and played at places like Calgary Stampede, Festival d'Éte, Ottawa Bluesfest, Boots and Hearts, and countless others. In addition to live performance, I have handled in-studio and remote guitar recording for several acts and worked as a recording, editing, and mixing engineer. I've also developed and mixed backing tracks for live performance and handled show advancing and travel/performance logistics as tour manager.

I've worked as a Productions Manager, overseeing major events (including Western's Purple Fest and OWeek) and shows featuring established artists like Tyga, Lil Uzi Vert, Arkells, Juice WRLD, Bryce Vine, and more. I love applying this knowledge and experience to artists in helping them review contracts, advance shows, develop technical riders, and to help performances run smoothly on show days.
